By car:
You will need to book on either: 

• Red Funnel (www.redfunnel.co.uk , T: 0870 444 8898) from Southampton to East Cowes, or 
• Wightlink (www.wightlink.co.uk , T: 0870 582 0202) from either: 
  • Portsmouth to Fishbourne, or 
  • Lymington to Yarmouth (closest, prettiest but most antiquated route)

By train:
Trains run 2 or 3 times per hour from/to London Waterloo to: 

• Southampton Central. Take the free bus from outside Platform 4 to Town Quay and the “Red Jet” catamaran to (West) Cowes (www.redfunnel.co.uk)
• Portsmouth Harbour. The “Fast Cat”, to Ryde, runs from the end of the platforms (www.wightlink.co.uk) 
• Portsmouth and Southsea. Take the Hoverbus to Southsea Hover Terminal and the Hovercraft to Ryde (www.hovertravel.co.uk)      T: (023) 9281 1000) 
• Lymington Pier (via Brockenhurst). Cross the road to the car/passenger ferry (www.wightlink.co.uk)

By coach :
National Express run coaches to Portsmouth Harbour Station and Southampton Coach Station. Coaches from London Victoria take over 2 hours.

Public transport:
Southern Vectis operate a bus service all over the Island. The No. 7 bus stops hourly at the end of the drive at Mottistone Manor Farm (ask for the "Mottistone Estate" stop by the estate car park gate).  From Cowes and Ryde, change at Newport bus station.
