By car:
You will need to book your ferry with either: 

• Red Funnel (www.redfunnel.co.uk , T: 0844 844 9988 from Southampton to East Cowes, or 
• Wightlink (www.wightlink.co.uk , T: 0870 376 1000) from either: 
  • Portsmouth to Fishbourne, or 
  • Lymington to Yarmouth (closest, prettiest but most antiquated route)

By train:
Trains run 2 or 3 times per hour from/to London Waterloo to: 

• Southampton Central. Take the free bus from outside Platform 4 to Town Quay and the “Red Jet” catamaran to (West) Cowes (www.redfunnel.co.uk)
• Portsmouth Harbour. The “Fast Cat”, to Ryde, runs from the end of the platforms (www.wightlink.co.uk) 
• Portsmouth and Southsea. Take the Hoverbus to Southsea Hover Terminal and the Hovercraft to Ryde (www.hovertravel.co.uk)      T: 02392 811000 or 01983  811000
• Lymington Pier (via Brockenhurst). Cross the road to the car/passenger ferry (www.wightlink.co.uk)

By coach :
National Express run coaches to Portsmouth Harbour Station and Southampton Coach Station. Coaches from London Victoria take over 2 hours.

Once you are on the Isle of Wight:

Public transport:
Southern Vectis operate a bus service all over the Island. The No. 12 Bus stops, 4 or 5 times a day, at the end of the drive at Mottistone Manor Farm. The stop is between Brighstone and Brook Chine (ask for the "Mottistone Estate" stop by the National Trust car park gate).  The No. 12 route runs from Newport to Freshwater. 

From Yarmouth: take the No. 7 to Freshwater (Royal Standard) and change to the No. 12.

From Cowes: take the No. 1 to Newport Bus Station and change to the No. 12.

From Ryde: take the No 9 to Newport Bus Station and change to the No. 12.
